"Mr. Overrated" aka Dark Knight Takes The Box Office Crown For The 3rd Week In A Row As It Nears $400 Million Mark

THE HYPE SURROUNDING DARK KNIGHT DISGUSTS ME, LIKE THE TIGHTS ROBIN IS WEARING IN THE PICTURE BELOW. IS IT JUST ME OR DOES IT NOT MAKE ANY SENSE THAT CHRISTIAN BALE/BRUCE WAYNE TALKS THE WAY HE DOES WHEN THE BATMAN SUIT IS ON?

Dark Knight raked in $43.8 million to rank as the top grossing movie for the third straight weekend fending off "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" which opened a close second with $42.5 million. Dark Knight has grossed $394.9 million in just 17 days, according to studio estimates Sunday. The Warner Bros. release should sail past the $400 million mark by atleast Tuesday, said Dan Fellman, head of distribution at Warner. That would be on the film's 18th or 19th day of release, another record for "The Dark Knight," which had an all-time high opening weekend of $158.4 million. The previous $400 million record-holder was "Shrek 2," which hit that mark in 43 days. That would have Dark Knight trailing The Titanic by only $200 Million, which is the all time highest grossing film ever at $600 Million.
