Could Globalization Be The Death Of The NBA: Lebron The First Victim?

Photobucket
According to a source close to Lebron James a European team could snatch up King James for $50 Million PER SEASON after his contract expires after the 2010-2011 season...he could even opt out after the 2009-2010 season. While there are a few NBA teams making space for his free agency, none could offer a contract beginning at even $20 Million. I guess that Euro is just too strong, compared to the dollar. The Russian team CSKA Moscow and the Greek team Olympiacos, which recently gave Josh Childress a contract approaching $30 million over three years, have already contacted James, according to the person close to him. The person added, however, that no monetary or contractual discussions have taken place. It should be interesting to see how this plays out over the next couple of years. David Stern better gather the troops and look to expand the NBA into GBA...quickly too. Mark my word if Kobe, Lebron, Chris Paul or Dwyane Wade leave...its the beginning of the end.
