I'm not trying to get all PETA on you, but damn- when you buy you're next fur coat, can you please remember how it got from point a to point b
Any other Project Runway fans out there? Yep, that's what I thought! I am just dying for them to announce the date for the new season. I mean, yeah, the clothes are awesome and the drama is entertaining, but I'll admit that the real reason I tune in is to see the true genius behind the show: Tim Gunn. Know what his next project is? Convincing Donna Karan and Giorgio Armani to forgo fur! Yes, that's right. America's best-known arbiter of good taste and style has just narrated PETA's new exposé of fur farms—including just-obtained footage of rabbit fur farms in China, where Karan and Armani both source their pelts.

Because the designers have refused to meet with PETA to view the footage, Gunn has just sent it to them with a personal plea. Why is the fur flying over Chinese pelts in particular? The world's largest exporter of fur is now China—where foxes, rabbits, and cats and dogs are often skinned alive.
"Any designer in the fashion industry who does not want to watch the PETA video and see exactly what happens to animals and how they're treated and how the product that they use comes to the marketplace I believe is egregiously irresponsible," says Tim. "It is critically important that we all be educated about these matters and then make choices."

Takin' it back old school status
Growing up in Ellwood when I was 13, these we're the hottest shoes to have. As soon as I saw this pic I had a feeling of nostalgia skating the Lucky's parking lot...25 cent PC Cola (the PC stood for Presidents Choice), getting kicked out from the security guard (which we called 2.5...half a cop), or grubbing on pizza from my parents restaurant (Paparazzi's/Mamma Maria's) anyways, we all had these kicks, the Sal Barbiers and lucky for us, they're coming out again. I will be copping a pair for old times sake...I'm sure Church of Skatan will have 'em.

Im a little late on the blog post but MC Breed passed away last saturday at the age of 37 from Kidney failure. I was fortunate enough to actually spend a good amount of time with dude over the last few years. I actually help put together his last show at the Karma Lounge in Ventura last month. RIP MC BREED

I really wanted the meal below in the picture with a Sunrise but I settled for a side chicken breast and a side of mac & cheese with a water. I had to be a good boy and skip the waffle. I have been making a conscious effort of getting less fat boy these days.

Here We Go Again: Santa Barbara Tea Fire
I first noticed the flames last night around 7pm when I was driving home from LA on the 101 passing Sea Cliff. At first, from my perspective it looked as if La Conchita was a blaze. Shortly there after it was apparent that Montecito was fully engulfed in a fiery orange blaze. Two major fires in less then six months is too much for me.....

Rihanna X GUCCI
On Nov. 19, Gucci’s Frida Giannini and Rihanna are brightening New York. As part of Gucci’s ongoing partnership with UNICEF, the two will light the UNICEF snowflake on Fifth Avenue at 57th Street. The festivities, at Grand Army Plaza, will feature a special performance by Ne-Yo, followed by a party at the Gucci flagship that Giannini and Rihanna are hosting to fete the Tattoo Heart Collection and the 2008 campaign, featuring Rihanna. After the party, Giannini will head over to the Oak Room for a small VIP dinner for the singer, marking the first event there after the Plaza’s renovation. Gucci has tapped Timbaland to spin the tunes after dinner.
