Another action packed ASR/Agenda San Diego weekend...or was it?
Surprisingly creative for a for such a big company, Volcom comes with fresh themes usually garish but nonetheless fresh and fun. This time they were dressed as hillbillies playing the banjo and throwin’ horseshoes with toilet seats! Now that's some funny shit. As far as ASR as a whole, it was the smallest most quietest one we've seen in a while. Hurley and Quiksilver weren’t even there and booths were downgraded from raging apparatuses to meager little tents. Atleast Volcom kept the ASR spirit alive...way to go.

After all the anticipation, VIMBY finally released the newest video with the SKATE ALL CITIES crew based out of L.A. Even though SKATE ALL CITIES started with skateboarding, they are also clothing line and a graff crew. Watch the video as they talk about bombing, skating, and starting their own t-shirt line. Nike Blazer Tonal Lux Collection Preview
A view into this lineup of Blazers reveals yet another interesting upcoming project from Nike. Taking the more conservative route, three models can be seen including a velco low-top. While the lows feature luxurious leather uppers alongside tonal midsoles, the high tops combine more of a contrasted look with a full white midsole and tonal perforated uppers. The collection is rumored to be a Tier 0 zero release for Spring/Summer 2009.

An article in next month's Atlantic asks, "Is porn recession proof?" According to porn magnate Larry Flynt and "Girls Gone Wild" king Joe Francis, the answer is no.
TMZ reports that the pornographer pair is heading to Washington to ask for a $5 billion porn bailout:
"With all this economic misery and people losing all that money, sex is the farthest thing from their mind," Flynt says. "It's time for Congress to rejuvenate the sexual appetite of America."
Francis sees his industry like the big three automakers, only BIGGER: "Congress seems willing to help shore up our nation's most important businesses; we feel we deserve the same consideration."

Stussy “La Brea” Tees
Stussy adds some more welcome additions for 2009 with two “La Brea” tees by representing two iconic films from decades ago. First is the Taxi Driver tee featuring Stussy’s skull logo over Robert De Niro’s face with his popular “you talkin’ to me?” line. The next tee is from the infamous concluding Scarface scene, with the moose head over Al Pacino’s head and the M16 being replaced by a water gun. Travolta's 16-Year Old Son Dies In Bahamas on Family Vacation
NASSAU, Bahamas - John Travolta's teenage son, Jett, died in the Bahamas after falling ill and hitting his head at his family's vacation home, police said Friday. A house caretaker found Jett, 16, unconscious in a bathroom late Friday morning. He was taken by ambulance to a Freeport hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to a statement from chief police superintendent Basil Rahming. We send the Travolta family our condolences.
