Harvard University is the country's oldest, wealthiest and most selective university. Now it's back on top of the U.S. News & World Report college rankings, claiming sole possession of the No. 1 spot for the first time in 12 years. Princeton slips to No. 2, ending eight straight years of at least sharing the top ranking. The latest edition hits newsstands Monday, but was to be published Friday on the magazine's Web site. For the second straight year Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and Diddy top Forbes’ second annual “Hip-Hop Cash Kings” list, but there is a new reigning king for 2008.
50 Cent usurped Jay-Z as the top earner with $150 million grossed in the last year.
The cornerstone of 50’s portfolio is his stake in VitaminWater’s parent company Glaceau, which was bought for $4.1 billion by Coca-Cola. The Queens native’s investments also include video games, G-Unit clothing/records, and a pending partnership in South Africa with billionaire mining baron Patrice Motsepe.
Jay-Z bows in at number 2 generating $82 million in earnings. Off the strength of last year’s platinum album American Gangster, Jay brokered a 10-year, $150 million dollar deal with concert promoter Live Nation. The partnership will have the organization assisting Jay in promotion of all his business endeavors, which begins after his pending last Def Jam album Blueprint 3.

Gorbachev Claims Georgia Started Conflict With Russia
Georgian leaders may be blaming Russia for the conflict raging in South Ossetia, but former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev said Thursday "there is no doubt" that Georgia provoked the clash. Gorbachev told CNN's Larry King that Russia moved additional forces into South Ossetia in response to "devastation" in the South Ossetia city of Tskhinvali. Last week, Georgia said it launched an operation into South Ossetia after a cease-fire was broken with artillery fire from Russian separatists that killed 10 people including civilians and peacekeepers. It accused Russia, which also has peacekeepers in the region, of backing the separatists. Gorbachev also said the United States is jeopardizing its fragile relationship with Russia by backing Georgia.

Dark Knight has grossed $394.9 million in just 17 days, according to studio estimates Sunday. The Warner Bros. release should sail past the $400 million mark by atleast Tuesday, said Dan Fellman, head of distribution at Warner. That would be on the film's 18th or 19th day of release, another record for "The Dark Knight," which had an all-time high opening weekend of $158.4 million. The previous $400 million record-holder was "Shrek 2," which hit that mark in 43 days. That would have Dark Knight trailing The Titanic by only $200 Million, which is the all time highest grossing film ever at $600 Million.
